" Homework was a way to say to the rock kids, like, 'Electronic music is cool'. Bangalter noted the stylistic approach of the album was in contrast to that of their previous effort. Bangalter compared it to the state of childhood when one does not judge or analyze music. The record was designed to reflect a playful, honest and open-minded attitude toward listening to music.
